16th International Homoeopathic Congress held at Pearl Continental, Bhurban, Muree, Pakistan.
16th International Homoeopathic Congress was held from 23rd September to 25th September 2007 at lush green mountains of Murree, in Pakistan under the banner of Asian Homoeopathic Medical League.

In this congress, which was held in most reputed five star hotel Pearl Continental, approximately 250 delegate from all over Asia participated. An eight-member delegation of eminent homoeopaths under the leadership of Dr. A. K. Seth (a Delhi based eminent physician), from India attended the congress. Dr. Surmeet Singh Mavi of Jalandhar was the only homoeopath from Punjab. Dr. Mavi read the unique paper related with the thought of Dr. Prafull Vijayakar i.e. “Homoeopathy is predictive”. He showed the video of his very difficult cases cured as per Dr. Vijayakar’s research. He warned the homoeopaths about quackery prevailing with in the system and we should all unite for the uplift of Hahnemannian thought and halt wrong conceptions advocated by selfish elements.

Dr. Mavi’s lecture was highly applauded by the audience. He said why today fingers are raised about the authenticity of Homoeopathic Science by saying that homoeopathy is placebo, it is all because homoeopath fails to present the real philosophy of this science in front of medical society. Hahnemann advocated to treat the MAN IN DISEASE NOT DISEASE IN MAN by stimulating the immuno- modulation of immune system by A SIMILIMUM. Our remedies are acting at genetic sphere and there is nothing material in medicine. These are dynamic. But by overdosing the healthy man these remedies will produce same pathology as in the form of material dose. Arsenic. Alb in dynamic dose will produce same pathology quite similar to arsenic poisoning. How a placebo remedy can do tissue changes in healthy man. If any one interested to test the homoeopathic remedies they should do it according to the fundamentals of homoeopathy. Then no one will dare to say that it is placebo therapy. So homoeopaths should come forward with their philosophy in front of medical world, Dr. Mavi said.

Asian Homoeopathic League honored Dr. Mavi for his contribution in the field of homoeopathy North India. Indian delegation also visited Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Nankana Sahib and at Lahore.
