5 days Workshop on Hahnemannian Homeopathy as taught by Dr. Prafull Vijayakar

The 5-day National Homoeopathic Workshop organized by Hahnemannian Education and Research Forum (HERF) in collaboration with Banaras Homeopathic Doctors Association (BHDA) and Sri Sai Nath Post Graduate Institute of Homoeopathy and Hospital, Allahabad at Swatantrata Bhawan in the campus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi from 27 th to 31 st October 2010 proved a step forward in propagating the message of practicing right homoeopathy.

The workshop was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the BHU, Mr. D.P.Singh. A memorandum was submitted to the Vice Chancellor to open a Homoeopathic Medical College too at the varsity as it already has an Allopathic and Ayurvedic college. The setting up of a Homoeopathic College at this prestigious university of the country would go a long way in promoting homoeopathy.

The workshop was attended by more than 800 students and doctors from various colleges and hospitals in the country who listened to the prominent speakers with rapt attention. The prominent speakers included Dr. Prafull Vijayakar, Dr. Surmeet Singh Mavi, Dr. Kamal Malik, Dr. Didar Singh, Dr.Gagandeep Singh and Dr Avtar Singh Mavi.

Dr. Vijayakar very beautifully related homoeopathy with the modern science and genetics thus bridging the gap that lies between them and making it easy for everyone to understand. He also explained live cases in front of the audience, which was an eye opening experience for everyone. He explained scientifically the pathology and progress of each disease and also taught the way how to reach the correct simillimum without making any guess work.

Dr. Mavi, the propagator and practitioner of right homoeopathy, presented cases of 'coma' and explained how within few hours of prescribing the right homoeopathic remedy, the person can come out of comatose condition, he also taught materia medica of spider group of remedies. He advised the students and doctors to practice right homoeopathy as propagated by the father of homoeopathy Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in the Organon of medicine.

Dr. Kamal Malik presented a case of Bartter's Syndrome and discussed materia medica of snakes. Dr. Didar taught the essence of drugs like Spongia Tosta and discussed the way of treating cases of children suffering from cerebral palsy and mental retardation as taught by Dr Prafull Vijayakar. Dr. Gagandeep taught the wonder cures of Apis and when to prescribe this remedy in an individual. Dr Avtar Singh Mavi shared his experiences during his clinical training with Dr Prafull Vijayakar.

Rich tributes were also paid by the participants to the founder of the BHU, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya.
